About the Role We are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Associate Civil Engineer to assist in the growth and development of our Civil Engineering division in Sydney. This key engineering role will be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature. Responsibilities Carry out and manage detailed designs for all types of projects, ensuring they are innovative, high standard, and meet our clients’ needs and expectations. Manage and resolve project issues, considering construction costings and practices in the design process. Lead, mentor and develop a team of engineers and designers within the civil discipline; provide technical guidance, feedback and support; conduct performance reviews, training needs analysis and career development plans. Gain an understanding of the business and strategic direction of ADG, develop, grow and maintain strong customer relationships, identify, communicate and pursue new opportunities for the Civil Engineering division in Perth, and build your business development skills. We are looking for someone with… Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering Chartered member (CPEng) of the Institute of Engineers Australia 10+ years of demonstrated design experience Ability to think and solve problems and critically assess and review designs by others Experience in production of detailed engineering drawings commensurate with level of duties Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on design Understanding of design and commercial risk with good contract management experience Experience liaising with project managers and architects effectively Strong communication skills and ability to maintain relationships at different levels within client organisations Business development skills What's In It For You Opportunity to be part of the growth of the Civil Engineering division in Sydney with the support of a well-established network.
