About the Role As the Manager Investment Risk Governance, you will lead development and oversight of robust investment risk and compliance frameworks that protect member interests and support the strategic vision. You’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to ensure best practice governance, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in investment risk management. You’ll shape risk culture, drive innovation, and provide insights that inform critical investment decisions. Key Responsibilities Lead maintenance and enhancement of Investment Risk & Compliance frameworks. Oversee independent monitoring and supervision of investment risk and compliance. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement compliance rules. Manage post‑trade compliance operations and ensure efficient processes. Conduct operational due diligence assessments and deliver actionable reports. Draft, update, and advise on investment risk and compliance policies and procedures. Identify control gaps and drive change management across the three lines of defence. Contribute to divisional strategy and ensure alignment with ART’s vision and member needs. Build strategic partnerships to drive business performance, innovation, and risk awareness. Model ART’s cultural aspirations and foster an inclusive risk governance culture. About You Strong understanding of investment risk management frameworks and compliance within superannuation or financial services. Experience developing, implementing, and overseeing risk governance processes. In‑depth knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., APRA, ASIC) and industry standards. Proven ability to conduct operational due diligence and provide actionable recommendations. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Experience drafting, updating, and advising on risk and compliance policies and procedures. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, focused on continuous improvement and innovation. Ability to identify control gaps and drive effective change management initiatives. High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to fostering a strong risk culture.
