Director Hop and Learn Children’s Therapy | Paediatric Occupational Therapist | DIR Floortime | Learn to Play | sensory Integration Company Description Hop & Learn Children's Therapy specialises in delivering tailored Occupational Therapy services for children aged 0-16 years who have developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties, ADHD, and other needs. Based in Tarneit and the surrounding suburbs of Melbourne, our mobile service ensures convenient and accessible care. We support clients utilising NDIS (Self‑managed or Plan‑managed), Private Health, and Medicare funding, including Mental Health Care and Enhanced Primary Care Plans. With a focus on individualised support, we are dedicated to helping children reach their full potential. Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Speech Therapist, located in West Melbourne, VIC. The Speech Therapist will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating children with speech, language, and communication challenges, as well as working with clients who have swallowing difficulties (dysphagia). Duties include conducting therapy sessions, developing individualised treatment plans, collaborating with families and other professionals, maintaining accurate patient records, and monitoring progress to achieve therapeutic goals. Qualifications Proficiency in Speech Therapy, including assessment and intervention methods Strong knowledge of communication disorders and language development Experience working with individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders Ability to assess and manage dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams Relevant qualifications in Speech Pathology, and professional registration with Speech Pathology Australia or equivalent Understanding and experience with NDIS, Medicare, and private health funding systems are advantageous Passion for helping children with developmental needs achieve their potential Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Health Care Provider Industries Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
