Financial Analyst (APAC) The Financial Analyst (APAC) combines data science, business intelligence, and financial analytics to model, interpret, and predict regional performance trends across complex distribution ecosystems. The position involves designing analytical frameworks and models that reflect the specific dynamics of APAC markets—including travel patterns, customer segments, and sales partner networks—where global BI tools have limited visibility. By merging quantitative modeling with commercial understanding, the Analyst enables evidence-based decisions on financial decisions, marketing efficiency, and sales strategies. Reporting directly to the CFO APAC, this role acts as both a Data Scientist and Business Partner, improving forecast accuracy, commercial ROI, and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Data Modelling & Analysis Design, implement and optimise statistical and financial models to evaluate APAC sales performance, booking patterns, customer behaviour and forecast reliability. Apply numerical analysis, regression techniques and predictive algorithms to identify trends and seasonality in regional demand. Simulate commercial outcomes under various pricing, incentive and allocation scenarios. Formulate and refine models to capture local market dynamics not reflected in global datasets. Commercial & Financial Analytics Build automated dashboards integrating Seaware, CRM, and financial data to monitor booking flow, cash collection and margin evolution. Develop algorithms to measure booking conversion, partner efficiency, and return on marketing investment. Evaluate risk exposures related to payment patterns, cancellations, and distribution delays. Reconcile and validate large heterogeneous datasets to ensure accuracy of financial projections and budget alignment. Enhance landing vs. budget analysis using real‑world regional drivers and elasticity measures. Data Science for Marketing & Customer Engagement Conduct segmentation and clustering analyses to identify high‑value customer groups and optimal targeting strategies. Measure engagement, conversion and retention across APAC‑specific channels (trade, digital, direct). Use predictive models to anticipate booking peaks, optimal campaign timing, and content effectiveness. Partner with the Customer Engagement Director to personalise reporting frameworks for different customer and partner segments. Governance, Collaboration & Data Integrity Establish APAC data pipelines ensuring consistency, security and autonomy of regional datasets. Specify data‑collection methodologies, ensuring source reliability and traceability of calculations. Qualifications and Experience Education Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or Quantitative Finance. Postgraduate or professional certification in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or Business Intelligence desirable. Professional Experience 1–3 years’ experience in data science, commercial analytics, or business performance analysis. Proven record of designing analytical models to support commercial or financial decision‑making. Experience collaborating with sales, marketing or finance teams to translate data into strategic insights. Exposure to travel, luxury, retail or other customer‑centric industries is a strong advantage. Technical Skills Advanced Excel (modelling, VBA, Power Query). Proficiency with BI and analytics tools: Power BI, QuickSight, Tableau or equivalent. Experience with statistical programming (Python, R, or similar) a plus. Familiarity with CRM / booking systems (Seaware advantageous). Strong capability in data cleansing, reconciliation, mining and pattern recognition. Understanding of forecasting, revenue management, and cash‑flow modelling principles. Speak French is a real advantage.
