Casual Emergency Veterinarian – Animal Referral Hospital Wollongong Join us as a Casual Emergency Veterinarian at the Animal Referral Hospital in Wollongong, NSW. Our newly refurbished facility offers nine consult rooms, three state‑of‑the‑art surgical theatres, and dedicated areas for dental care, ultrasound, and endoscopy. About the Hospital The Animal Referral Hospital is Australia’s pioneering privately‑owned multi‑disciplinary specialist hospital and part of the country’s largest emergency and specialist group. Key Responsibilities and Skills Work under a unique co‑location arrangement alongside the General Practice clinic. Provide top‑notch emergency care to the Wollongong and Greater Illawarra region. Maintain composure and empathy in high‑pressure scenarios. Communicate effectively with peers, pet owners, and referring veterinarians. Assist individuals and their beloved pets during times of need. Qualifications Veterinary degree eligible for registration in NSW. Minimum of 2 years of professional experience, preferably in emergency veterinary care. Experience working in a busy multi‑disciplinary hospital is highly regarded. Availability to work a combination of day, night, and evening shifts. Comfortable with sole charge and managing routine emergency presentations. Eager to learn complex patient management under supervision of the critical care team.
