Be Involved – Help shape the future of our Kal East site. Location and Roster FIFO from Perth, DIDO from surrounding areas, or Residential. Lakewood is 6km from Kalgoorlie, with our mining operations located within a 40km radius of the centralised processing facility. Roster: 8/6, day shift only. About the Opportunity Key accountabilities of the position are to: Prepare, review and audit mid to longer term mine designs and plans ensuring any risks to plans are identified and mitigated. Collaborate with operations, geology, metallurgy, geotechnical, and production engineer teams for safe and practical design and mine plan execution. Complete stope designs to maximise economic extraction of ore. Undertake mine infrastructure analysis and projects to improve water and de-watering systems. About You Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or equivalent. Experience in underground mining, preferably gold, with exposure to various mining methods and engineering. Exposure to capital projects and cost estimation across a wide range of mining activities and support services. User of mine planning and scheduling software packages preferably Deswik (CAD and UGDB) and user of Ventsim. Completed underground time or minimal underground time (desirable).
