State Transport & Warehouse Manager Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Employment type: Full‑time Company Overview Mondiale VGL is a global transport and logistics provider with more than 40 years of experience, operating in 19 markets across Oceania, Asia, Europe and the USA. With a team of over 1,500 people, we provide fully integrated, end‑to‑end logistics services, including sea and air freight, customs clearance, wharf transport and warehousing. Job Description As the State Transport & Warehouse Manager you will oversee all transport and warehouse operations in Queensland. You will manage day‑to‑day operations, drive continuous improvement, maintain compliance and deliver operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the state transport and warehouse teams to achieve performance targets. Oversee fleet operations, scheduling, and resource planning to ensure timely service delivery. Maintain safety and compliance standards in line with NHVR, CoR, and OHS regulations. Monitor and control operational budgets, driving cost efficiencies and financial performance. Foster strong customer relationships and manage service level agreements (SLAs). Liaise with internal departments to align operational goals and ensure effective communication. Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork. Oversee staffing requirements, including recruitment, training, and performance management. Manage contractor performance and ensure adherence to company procedures. Maintain accurate warehouse stock control and ensure proper maintenance of equipment. Qualifications Proven leadership experience in transport and warehouse operations. Strong understanding of compliance and safety frameworks (NHVR, CoR, OHS). Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to drive performance and implement process improvements. Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational costs. Experience in the freight forwarding or logistics industry preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and operational systems such as Power BI. Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to undertake). Experience managing teams. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Strong safety mindset.
