We are looking for a Casual Cleaner to join our Defence team in Cairns. Start ASAP At Downer we plan, create and sustain. We currently have an opportunity for a casual Cleaner. Join our Base and Estate Management team and play a key role in the day-to-day cleaning duties of common areas and accommodation areas. Reporting to the Cleaning and Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services. What You’ll Do (key responsibilities) This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: Sweeping and mopping Toilet cleaning Dusting Spot cleaning of carpets Deliver planned and unplanned housekeeping duties in accordance with directions What You’ll Bring (experience required) Demonstrated experience in cleaning/housekeeping preferred Own transport required Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian citizenship mandatory) Able to perform the inherent physical requirements of the role More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
