The Opportunity We are seeking a highly motivated Oncology / Haematology CMO to commence in February 2026 on a 12 month fixed-term contract to deliver medical care to Medical Oncology and Haematology outpatients in the Ambulatory Care Centre receiving chemotherapy and other cancer treatments as well supporting Medical Oncology Haematology and Radiation Oncology inpatients at St Vincents Private Hospital. The role will involve delivering medical care under the direct supervision of oncologists and haematologists and the successful applicant must be able to work autonomously as well as effectively and collaboratively in a team. The CMO will need to work closely and effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team including nursing staff allied health and clerical staff to support the treatment of oncology and haematology inpatients and outpatients. They will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be comfortable working directly with consultants across St Vincents Private Hospital. A significant part of the CMOs role will be supporting the Ambulatory Care Centre by providing clinical care to outpatients moving through the unit working directly with the Nursing Unit Manager and their staff and by providing attention and support to service development aspects of the unit. About you : Registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a Registered Practitioner Specialist qualification and / or experience in Oncology / Haematology Ability to maintain collaborative and effective relationships with all multidisciplinary team members Ability to work flexibly within the Facility service Ability to provide clinical practice and care consistent with the mission and philosophy of the facility Ability to plan and coordinate patient / resident / client care effectively maintain patient / resident / client advocacy and utilise patient / resident / client management systems Ability to participate in and support education activities and to contribute to the development of self and other team members Have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant regulations and legislation Why work at St Vincents Join us on our mission to provide care to all including th e most at-risk people in our community Discounted access to many gyms for you and your family with Fitness Passport Access to discounted private health insurance with Medibank Access to a government salary sacrifice program.
