The Role As a Certificate III Room Assistant in our Toddler Room, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, well‑being, and development of young children while supporting the lead educator. Key Responsibilities Prioritise children's safety and active supervision, ensuring a safe and secure environment through constant supervision and risk awareness. Adhere to child protection regulations and respond proactively to any concerns. Monitor and maintain clean, hazard‑free play and learning spaces. Provide high‑quality care and learning experiences, supporting children's physical, emotional, and developmental needs in a nurturing environment. Encourage independence and self‑help skills through daily routines. Assist with engaging play‑based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Observe and respond to children's individual needs, interests, and development. Support the Lead Educator in planning and program delivery: prepare and implement age‑appropriate activities, participate in daily reflections, and assist with documentation and observations. Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues; create a warm, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all families. Communicate effectively with families to share children's progress and experiences. Ensure a consistent and high‑quality approach to learning and care in collaboration with the team. Maintain a safe, hygienic, and organised environment, supporting toileting, nappy changing, and hygiene routines with respect and sensitivity, and adhering to health and safety policies. Current Working with Children Check and First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain). Applicants must have completed a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care before applying.
