Join a well-established national organisation known for its commitment to safe, reliable and compliant operations across high-risk industrial environments. This role supports a Major hazard facility in Darwin by providing hands‑on SHEQ advisory support while also coordinating competency-based training across the workforce. Working closely with operations, maintenance and contractor teams, you will help strengthen safety culture, maintain compliance frameworks, and support continuous improvement. Role Responsibilities Support the implementation and maintenance of the site’s Safety, Health, Environment & Quality Management Systems in line with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments, and assist with incident reporting, investigations and corrective action close‑out. Coordinate training programs, onboarding and competency requirements, including managing LMS records and liaising with external providers. Monitor contractor compliance, permits, inductions and safety documentation to ensure safe work practices. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, emergency response preparedness, and proactive safety engagement across site teams. Candidate Requirements Experience in SHEQ/HSE advisory roles within high-risk industries such as Oil and Gas, Mining and high risk manufacturing. Experience in a Major hazard facility environment and experience with chemical management. Strong understanding of WHS legislation, risk management, permits, MOC and general safety systems and process safety. Demonstrated experience coordinating training, maintaining compliance records and working with LMS platforms. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously. A proactive, detail-focused safety mindset with the ability to build relationships and support a positive safety culture.
