Role Responsibilities: This role requires a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include: Diagnosing, inspecting, reconditioning, repairing, assembling the fleet and ensuring safety, quality and Busways standards are followed at all times. Maintaining all company vehicles and assets in accordance with Manufacturer's guidelines Ensuring all maintenance work is performed according to company procedures. Attend breakdowns and carry out any field related mechanical repairs Effectively and efficiently communicate any safety or maintenance issues Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties Reporting and repairing all accident damage as required Performing ad-hoc tasks and other duties as directed Our workshop staff play a critical role within the business to ensure our ever-evolving fleet of vehicles are continually maintained to the highest standard to keep our staff and passengers safe out on the road. You can expect to be provided with all necessary training, this will include relevant information about our various makes and models of vehicles to ensure a thorough understanding of standards required to meet contract obligations. The Successful Applicant Will: Hold the relevant trade qualifications (MVTC) essential Certificate lll in commercial vehicle mechanical technology or above, but will consider Certificate lll in light vehicle mechanical technology with 4 - 5 years post apprenticeship experience in a similar role with the same level of responsibilities would be highly regarded Have experience in the service and maintenance of vehicles (training provided to develop these skills) Ensure adherence and understanding to WHS regulations and relevant company policies Possess strong verbal and written communication skills Have experience working in a team environment on daily maintenance and repair schedules Apply a proactive approach with a drive for continuous improvement Be physically fit to carry out the necessities of the role Be willing toundergoa pre-employment medical check, and working with children check.
