GFBFisheries – Spring Creek Barramundi GFBFisheries is an industry leader in Barramundi Aquaculture. Spring Creek Barramundi is one of our farms located in Townsville, North Qld. Overview The position of Fish Farm Hand/Aquaculture Technician will undertake a diverse range of daily operational tasks within the farm and will report to section managers. Responsibilities Fish Feeding Fish grading and live transfers Testing Water Quality parameters Machinery operation Pond maintenance System maintenance Weekend and on call work This is an outdoors based role in North Queensland so previous experience working outdoors in similar roles is preferred. The successful applicant will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn attention to detail, be able to work independently and as part of a team. We are seeking a motivated individual who will go the extra mile to get the job done. Experience using machinery such as tractors, Tele handlers, forklifts or any other heavy machinery will be looked upon favourably. Experience in the Aquaculture field or associated fields (eg. farming, maritime etc.) is preferred but not essential.
