Position Overview Depot Yardsperson – Sutherland Shire Council, Sutherland Shire, New South Wales. Responsibilities Be an integral part of daily operations that keep the depot running smoothly. Operate heavy plant and machinery, load and transport materials with precision and care. Maintain a clean and safe working environment for all depot users and visitors. Assist visitors and council depot users with material loading/unloading and provide guidance on vehicle parking. Conduct depot inspections and perform basic administrative tasks while adhering to safety regulations and operational standards. Show a proactive approach to upholding high safety standards. Qualifications Experience operating heavy machinery and transporting materials. Strong workplace safety awareness and commitment to best practices. Experience in chemical handling and administrative support (ideal). Proactive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with the company. Strong communication skills. Whitecard and Class HR driver’s licence. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $69,785 – $73,858 gross per annum plus 12% superannuation. Hours: Temporary Full‑Time, 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight.
