The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Tax Consultant to join our Tax Consulting division in our Melbourne CBD office. In this role, you will collaborate with Partners, Managers, and colleagues across the firm to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients. In this role you will: Work directly with Partners who provide daily contact and mentorship. Assist the team to deliver tax advisory services to a diverse client base. Conduct research and analysis, preparing verbal and written advice on a wide range of Australian taxation matters. Advise on areas including CGT (small business concessions), Division 7A & UPEs, R&D, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, structuring and restructuring, tax planning and risk management, corporate acquisitions, and international tax. Focus on tax advisory and consulting projects, rather than compliance, within a highly technical and supportive team environment. Complete audit engagements, including planning, analysing and reporting. Establish and maintain strong client relationships. What we offer A flexible work environment with hybrid arrangements. Support for CA/CPA or other postgraduate qualifications (study leave, exam leave, financial assistance). What you’ll bring A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum 4 years’ Australian tax experience, ideally including advisory exposure. Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of tax issues, with up‑to‑date understanding of Australian taxation law and industry developments. Excellent research, analysis and professional writing skills. Professional presentation and strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Proven problem‑solving ability, commercial awareness and strategic thinking. High attention to detail, strong time management and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines. Experience liaising with the ATO and industry regulators on complex matters. Knowledge of transfer pricing and/or R&D (advantageous). You also Thrive in a collaborative, professional environment.
