Overview of the Role As a Group Account Director (GAD) at BRX, you are a cross‑functional business leader, responsible for the growth, performance, and innovation of your client portfolio. You elevate account teams, nurture senior client relationships, and drive operational excellence across the board. You are the connective tissue between clients, agency leadership, and internal departments, ensuring commercial success, strategic clarity, and cultural strength. You bring a hungry appetite for innovation, adopting AI, tools, and workflows that make your work smarter, faster, and more impactful. Your remit spans multi‑account leadership, senior client partnership, and talent development, setting the standard for excellence across the Account Management team. Key Responsibilities Lead the strategic development of client portfolios, shaping long‑term plans across brand, media, experience, and innovation pathways. Apply deep commercial acumen to steward annual revenue targets, profitability, utilisation, and forecasting across your client group. Ensure best‑in‑class strategic thinking, bringing together insights, research, and cross‑channel intelligence to inform client direction. Oversee the quality and rigour of account deliverables, ensuring all outputs meet BRX standards for strategic clarity, craft, and effectiveness. Identify whitespace opportunities for productisation, new service lines, efficiencies, and innovative solutions that elevate client outcomes. Build strong, trusting relationships at senior and director level, acting as a primary escalation point and strategic partner. Lead high‑stakes presentations, planning sessions, and negotiations, articulating clear, insight‑led recommendations. Collaborate closely with Creative, Strategy, Production, and Media partners to create integrated, cohesive solutions that meet shared objectives. Influence multi‑agency environments, ensuring BRX plays a strong leadership role in collective planning and delivery. Create clarity in communication, simplifying complexity and driving alignment across internal teams and client stakeholders. Delivery & Impact Oversee end‑to‑end delivery performance across your portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and against strategic intent. Own commercial performance, including scoping, pricing, profitability management, and forecasting accuracy. Drive measurable business impact, ensuring all work ladders to client outcomes, customer value, and BRX commercial success. Remove blockers and proactively manage risks, using sound judgement to anticipate issues and course‑correct early. Implement operational excellence, ensuring processes, workflows, and delivery approaches strengthen efficiency and quality across teams. Lead and coach account management team members, providing structured feedback, clear expectations, and ongoing development. Model high standards of accountability, calm leadership, and solution‑focused thinking, especially in complex or high‑pressure situations. Champion a people‑first culture, leading performance reviews, capability building, succession planning, and talent calibration. Lead innovation conversations with clients, bringing new ideas, frameworks, and methodologies that advance their strategic maturity. Shape and evolve BRX’s proprietary IP (e.g., AdXelerator, reverse briefs, strategic tools), ensuring it remains differentiated and commercially valuable. Champion experimentation, encouraging teams to test, refine, and adopt smarter approaches to planning, creativity, and delivery. Identify new market, customer, and technology opportunities, translating them into actionable solutions that position clients, and BRX, at the forefront of their categories. Contribute to agency‑wide transformation initiatives, partnering with the ELT on resourcing models, commercial design, and operational evolution. Experience & Skills 10–12+ years of agency or consultancy experience, including leadership of integrated accounts and multidisciplinary teams. Proven ability to manage large, complex stakeholder environments. Experience leading strategic planning, campaign execution, and client relationship development. Deep commercial acumen, forecasting, profitability, scope control and comfort in senior‑level business discussions. Skilled in coaching others, managing up/down, and influencing internal and external stakeholders.
