Expression of Interest - Plant Operator / Labourers - Road Crews Job No: CHR10332 Employment Status: Permanent Full Time No. of Vacancies: 4 Work Type: Full Time Department: Infrastructure and Utilities Remuneration : Award Stream B, Level 4: $36.01 per hour plus superannuation, penalties & allowances Are you looking for work life balance whilst utilising your civil works experience? Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking a Plant Operator / Labourer to join the teams located in Emerald / Springsure / Blackwater / Duaringa Road Crews. As a member of council’s Infrastructure and Utilities team, this position is responsible for performing a range of labouring duties and small plant operation tasks, to assist in the completion and maintenance of road and town facilities. As a Labourer with Central Highlands Regional Council there are opportunities to enhance your career with the potential to upskill qualifications, licences and plant tickets. You will also have additional earning potential when overtime work is available. If you are looking for a civil role where you can be home every night, this is the role for you Required Experience & Qualifications Experience in a similar role in a civil construction setting Positive and flexible attitude towards a diverse range of labouring tasks Willingness to work on rural job sites which will involve staying in a camp environment when required Current Queensland Drivers Licence Construction White Card Preferred Licences / Tickets Experience with road construction and/or maintenance Statement of Attainment or tickets for various small plant equipment HR Vehicle Licence Traffic Controller Ticket Benefits Regular RDO's - work a 9 day fortnight 5 weeks annual leave with 17.5% leave loading Payroll deductions and salary sacrifice options Wages paid fortnightly Employee Assistance Program Opportunity to work a 9 day fortnight As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.
