Provisional Psychologist – Early Career Pathways Program Healthy Connections Clinical Psychology – Penrith NSW Healthy Connections Clinical Psychology is a vibrant and growing practice in the scenic lower Blue Mountains village of Blaxland — around 10 minutes from the Nepean River and an easy drive along the M4. We provide individual, family and group therapy, psychometric assessments, and consultation across the lifespan — from perinatal care through older adulthood. Our team is passionate about improving access to high-quality, trauma-informed mental health care for the people of the Nepean/Blue Mountains region. Areas of interest within our team include complex trauma, neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD), parenting, eating disorders and older-adult wellbeing. Clinicians draw on diverse modalities such as Schema Therapy, EMDR, ACT, Family Systems, Hakomi & sensorimotor psychotherapy, relational and psychodynamic psychotherapy, and CBT. About the Program The Early Career Pathways Program (ECPP) supports recent graduates of a Master of Professional Psychology (or equivalent) to complete their supervised sixth-year internship and flourish through their first year of full registration. In Year 1 , you’ll receive structured individual and group supervision, external CPD, mentoring, and resources to help you demonstrate proficiency across all practice domains required by the Psychology Board of Australia. In Year 2 , you’ll consolidate these skills while developing areas of special interest and client focus while still enjoying access to the supports and training of the Year 1 program. Primary supervision is provided by Tiffany Allen, Clinical Psychologist and Ahpra Board-approved supervisor, with broad expertise across CBT, Schema Therapy, ACT, DBT, EMDR, and psychodynamic modalities. Tiffany works through an attachment- and trauma-informed relational lens with clients and focuses on building a safe supervisory space where therapists feel empowered to explore their work and develop their reflective practice. You’ll also benefit from a supportive, collegial team of therapists who are happy to encourage your learning through quick chats, debriefs after tricky sessions, or by facilitating observations. Regular weekly supervision, monthly seminars by experienced clinicians, and peer case-consultation are part of our Early Career program. Access to a professional library, psychometric measures, external training, team-building activities, and the support of a fabulous administration team help to support your journey. The ECPP offers structure, accountability, and autonomy — setting you up for confident, sustainable practice. Provisional psychologists who complete the Pathway Program may progress to senior or specialised clinician roles within Healthy Connections Clinical Psychology. About You You are a Master’s trained provisional psychologist with a passion for growth and client care. Ideally you: Are warm, engaging, and able to build rapport with clients, referrers and colleagues Enjoy working with a broad range of presentations across the lifespan Are committed to reflective practice, supervision, and ongoing professional development Possess strong time-management and organisational skills Are proficient (or developing proficiency) in administering ability and achievement assessments (WISC, WAIS, WIAT etc.) Are interested in developing an attachment-informed, trauma-sensitive approach to your practice · You must hold provisional registration as a psychologist with Ahpra · have a Working with Children Check · completed your Master of Professional Psychology (5th year program) and be eligible to commence your 6th year Internship What We Offer Full‑time employment with flexible scheduling Competitive remuneration package including supervision, professional development, liability insurance and more.
