Mine Engineer

About the role We’re seeking a Mine Engineer on 8/6 or 12/9 roster to take the lead on all production engineering activities at our Pajingo gold operation. This hands‑on role is ideal for a skilled mining engineer with strong underground drill & blast experience and the ability to mentor and guide others. We are committed to supporting our local community and encourage applications from Charters Towers and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities Design drill and blast patterns and develop charge plans Manage daily and weekly production planning and data tracking Prepare stope and panel notes, and backfill documentation Collaborate with operations to support safe, efficient production Identify remnant mining opportunities and optimise access to reserves Conduct audits, reviews and assist with annual budgeting Maintain compliance with statutory, safety and environmental standards What You’ll Bring Degree in Mining Engineering (or equivalent) 1-7 years’ underground production engineering experience Proficiency with Deswik and Microsoft Office suite Strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills Sound understanding of drill & blast design.
