About the Role As the first point of contact for our guests, the Concierge team at Rydges Newcastle plays a vital role in creating a warm and memorable welcome. We’re looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and proactive individual who thrives on helping others and making a lasting impression. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for local area insights, assist with luggage and porter duties, and ensure guests have everything they need for a seamless and enjoyable stay. Your helpful guidance and genuine hospitality will reassure guests they’ve made the right choice, setting the tone for an exceptional experience from the moment they arrive. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a similar role at a hotel, with a passion for people and creating amazing guest experience. Proven ability to deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service. Strong communication skills, attention to detail and organised. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Knowledge of local area and hotel services is an advantage. Could at problem solving and adaptable to different situations. Solid reading and writing abilities for handling guest requests, logging issues, and completing documentation accurately. Basic math skills for managing cash and credit transactions confidently and correctly.
