This is a unique opportunity to join the Older Persons Mental Health Specialised Services (OPMHSS) as a Nurse Consultant. You will provide expert clinical leadership and high-quality mental health nursing care for older adults with complex psychiatric illness and dementia with behavioural and psychological symptoms (BPSD). Based at Glenside Campus, this role combines advanced clinical practice, service development, and mentoring, within the supportive and innovative environment of BHFLHN’s Rural and Remote Mental Health Service (RRMHS). The Nurse Consultant role is based at Glenside Campus with the expectation of regular travel at short notice, including overnight, to all regional LHNs dependent on service requirements. WHO ARE WE? Are you experienced in older persons mental health nursing, including management of BPSD? Do you have strong leadership skills in clinical practice, mentoring, and service improvement? Collaborate across disciplines and sectors to facilitate seamless care pathways and improve access to services. Support and mentor less experienced staff, students, and clinicians through clinical supervision and education.
