Senior Engineering Manager – Commonwealth Bank We are embarking on an engineering transformation with a key focus on Full‑Stack Engineering. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the technical vision and architecture for a major Contact Centre transformation across the Group. You will design and deliver cloud‑native, scalable, secure, and high‑performance solutions on AWS, leveraging your full‑stack expertise in React/Next.js and .NET/.NET Core. Responsibilities Lead technical architecture for Contact Centre transformation. Design and deliver cloud‑native, scalable solutions on AWS. Guide engineering teams and influence cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise‑grade platforms. Own the full lifecycle – build, secure, test, run – with a DevSecOps mindset. Drive process improvements and innovation within the engineering team. Collaborate with stakeholders translating business needs into technical solutions. Qualifications & Skills Experience leading as a technical subject‑matter expert, mentoring engineers and facilitating workshops. Proficiency in full‑stack development: React.js, Next.js, .NET Core, C#; designing scalable microservices and APIs (GraphQL & REST). Hands‑on experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins). Database expertise: PostgreSQL, Oracle, modern data‑access patterns. Monitoring & observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, AWS CloudWatch. Knowledge of AI‑assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Figma AI, AWS Bedrock, etc.). Deep understanding of security principles, DevSecOps and SRE practices. Agile delivery and testing experience (TDD/BDD, automated testing, service virtualization). Experience with Contact Centre technologies (Microsoft Dynamics, Genesys, LivePerson, etc.) is a plus.
