SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST

Join Corrs Chambers Westgarth, Australia's leading independent law firm. An opportunity exists for a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Analytics & Reporting team. This is a permanent role which can be based in either Sydney or Melbourne. You will be joining a high-performing team driving commercial insights and strategic decision-making. This role will contribute towards the quality of the firm’s financial and client reporting across the business. The Senior Finance Analyst is responsible for proactively supporting the Commercial Managers, Analytics & Reporting team, and Executives, by providing timely and high-quality analysis and financial information. What you’ll be doing : Deliver impactful financial modelling & analysis Conduct data mining, reconciliation, and performance reviews Build and enhance recurring and ad hoc reports for Commercial and Executive teams Lead and mentor Guide junior analysts to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and analytical excellence Drive performance improvement Provide financial advice to support initiatives around profitability, productivity, and cost management Analyse fee earner performance and generate exception reports with actionable recommendations Collaborate across teams Partner with Business Development, Finance, and HR to support ad hoc requests Build strong relationships across Business Services while ensuring compliance with firm policies What we’re looking for : Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, or related field CA, CPA or equivalent (highly desirable) Advanced Excel skills; Power Query, Power BI, and VBA macros a plus SQL knowledge (highly desirable) Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement Comfortable with ad hoc workflows and tight deadlines Team player with the ability to build relationships across all levels Experience in a professional services firm (desirable) About us : Corrs Chambers Westgarth is Australia’s leading independent law firm.
