Director, Corporate Communications APAC Join to apply for the Director, Corporate Communications APAC role at RBC. What is the opportunity? As the Director, Corporate Communications, APAC, you will be responsible for leading our Corporate Communications activity across the region, providing thoughtful and strategic communications counsel to senior leadership in Asia and Australia (APAC) on matters relating to issues management, media relations and internal communications. You will build and implement internal and external communications strategies that support the business growth and strategic objectives of RBC – focused on capital markets and wealth management activities in APAC. What will you do? Lead and develop impactful internal communications strategies and campaigns for RBC in the APAC region that drive growth, employee engagement and support business objectives. Lead and advise on external media relations in key markets for RBC’s wealth management and capital markets businesses in the region. Undertake active mitigation of reputational issues through strategic counsel to business leaders and strong crisis communications. Act as corporate spokesperson as required on reputational matters. Maintain frequent, consistent, and effective relations with key RBC business spokespeople and stakeholders across the region. Provide leadership and direction on the development of content and execution of key employee engagements such as town halls, roundtables, and other events. Review and approve the work of other team members in the region. Leverage best practices from across the bank and from peers to drive differentiated, forward-thinking communications. Use metrics and measurement to drive initiatives, pushing the bank to consider innovative channels and new ways of communicating with key stakeholders (employees/media). Manage team members through ongoing coaching, goal setting and development; model and reinforce RBC vision, values, and leadership model. Oversee relationships with external partners such as media monitoring and communications agencies where relevant. What do you need to succeed? Must-have Results‑oriented communications specialist with 10+ years of industry experience A proven track record in delivering exceptional, differentiated internal and external communications and a strong knowledge of media High level of personal integrity/ability to instill trust Able to routinely manage several projects simultaneously while producing thoughtful, analytical and creative work to a tight deadline Ability to understand corporate strategy and specific business priorities, translating technical content into communications that facilitate understanding with local and global employees/media Ability to plan and roll out large‑scale communication programs involving various internal stakeholder groups across diverse geographies and functions Strong writing skills Strong ability to present ideas confidently to senior executives Team player with strong collaboration skills Comfort with tracking KPIs and metrics to inform communications strategies Nice‑to‑have Degree educated Digital and design capabilities Ability to create systems that allow for efficiency and role productivity What’s in it for you?
