General Manager Property

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) Asia Pacific is looking for a skilled property professional to lead our property operations, based from our support office in Rowville, VIC. Reporting to the General Counsel & Company Secretary, you will manage our leasing, developments, maintenance, fit-outs, and property acquisitions across Australia and New Zealand. This leadership role is key to shaping and delivering GPC’s property strategy to support business growth, cost efficiency, and strong partnerships throughout the organisation. About the role of General Manager Property: Create and execute a property plan that supports growth and uses resources wisely. Manage lease negotiations, rent reviews, budgets, and property expenses. Oversee property projects such as store fit-outs, refurbishments, relocations, and maintenance. Lead and grow a motivated property team focused on safety and results. Build good working relationships with internal teams, landlords, contractors, and regulators. Ensure all property activities follow legal, safety, environmental, and financial rules. About you: Broad experience in property or facilities management, with a history of successfully leading teams and senior projects. Skilled in negotiating commercial leases, planning asset lifecycles, and managing budgets. Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence and partner across multiple business functions. Knowledgeable about workplace health and safety, property laws, and risk management. Relevant tertiary qualifications required – e.g. Property, Business, Finance, Law, Construction or Facilities Management. Further qualifications, such as an MBA, desirable.
