Sales Assistant Location: Taubman’s Trade Centre, Balcatta, Western Australia Job Type: Full-time Hours: 38 hours per week, rostered within opening hours 6:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Saturday We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team on a full‑time basis at the Taubman’s Trade Centre in Balcatta. The ideal candidate will be passionate about customer service, with a desire to learn and develop in their career. No previous paint or hardware knowledge is expected, as full product training will be provided on the job. Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and establish relationships with our customers Collaborate with the Store Manager, Store team & Trade team to improve sales potential within the store Tinting and mixing paint, pelletizing paint drums, arranging orders for delivery, and colour matching Deliveries using the Store vehicle (where applicable) Merchandise and replenish stock promptly and ensure it is presented well Store housekeeping and following the store’s safety standards Manual handling of paint tins, trolleys, pallet jacks, etc. Requirements Previous retail assistant experience with a desire to provide excellent customer service Keen to learn new skills and build expertise on our products Flexibility to work a 38‑hour roster between 6:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Saturday Comfortable with manual handling – lifting heavy paint tins, pushing and pulling trolleys, using pallet jacks, standing, kneeling, loading the ute for deliveries Valid driver’s licence essential Paint experience not essential – training provided What We Offer Opportunities for development and long‑term career progression Incentive bonuses based on store performance Access to corporate discounts, including WhereFit wellness benefits Community involvement through PPG Colourful communities program Recognition programs and generous PPG product discounts through our store network About Us Here at PPG, we make it happen and are looking for candidates of the highest integrity who share our values and commit to striving every day.
