What's in it for you? What you'll do on a daily basis: Design and develop cloud-native applications in C# hosted on Microsoft Azure, focusing on scalability, security, and performance. Architect and implement serverless solutions using services such as Azure Functions, Front Door and Event Grid. Design solutions using appropriate architectural patterns, including synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event streaming. Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, deployment, and release management. Apply DevOps practices to streamline development workflows and improve operational efficiency. Ensure applications are testable, secure, and maintainable through robust engineering practices and code quality standards. Integrate security best practices across the software development lifecycle, including identity management and data protection. Influence‑ability - take the team on the journey with you Experience required: Extensive experience designing and developing cloud-native applications using C# and Microsoft Azure. Equivalent experience in AWS will be considered where applicable. Proven track record implementing serverless architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices in production environments. Strong background in software engineering principles, including testability, security, and maintainability. Familiarity with a range of data technologies, including relational and non-relational databases. Skills & Expertise 8+ years in C# and the .NET ecosystem, with experience building scalable and maintainable applications. Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure, including serverless services (e.g., Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Front Door), App Services, and cloud‑native design patterns. Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar. Solid grasp of DevOps practices, including infrastructure automation, configuration management, and deployment strategies. Strong knowledge of application security, including identity management, authentication/authorisation, and secure coding practices. Familiarity with architectural patterns such as synchronous APIs, asynchronous messaging, and event‑driven systems. Skilled in test‑driven development, unit testing, integration testing, and automated quality assurance.
