Reserve Maintainer Bushfire Mitigation

Permanent Full-time (average of 38 hours per week) The City of Rockingham is located 40km south of the Perth CBD and is one of the fastest growing local governments in the south metropolitan area. Responsibilities You will be required to conduct bushfire fuel reduction programs, including the installation and maintenance of fire breaks and manual, chemical or mechanical vegetation treatments. You will also be responsible for undertaking inspections and audits of bushfire mitigation treatments and fuel load assessments on City-managed lands. You will have sound knowledge and experience in conservation and land management and bushfire mitigation practices, including fuel load management. Knowledge of and/or training in fire behaviour and suppression techniques are desirable for this role.
