Specialist Staff Development Nurse - Mental Health Joondalup Health Campus has a great opportunity for an experienced mental health nurse to step into a key role of Specialist Staff Development Nurse. Stepping into this role, you will work as an integral member of the education team and ensure safe delivery of care in line with the core values and strategic direction of the department, Hospital and Ramsay Health Care. You will Demonstrated commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values. In addition, you will: Liaison with the Training & Development Manager / Clinical Manager and MHS CNS team regarding educational needs of their staff. Provide technical and clinical support to the Mental Health Department. Contribute to and participate in orientation, in-servicing and clinical competence and graduate programs. Provide a valuable contribution to the hospital Quality Improvement process. About You Your ability to both objectively evaluate and assess learning needs and learning outcomes and manage situations using advanced problem solving and clinical decision making is essential for this role. You will also demonstrate: Registration with the AHPRA as a Registered Nurse Demonstrated post registration and extensive experience in mental health nursing Be proficient in all clinical skills relevant to the chosen field and demonstrate competency in hospital specific competencies Demonstrated ability to educate staff in formal and informal settings High level interpersonal and communication skills Positive attitude to change management including a demonstrated professional approach Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Completion of preceptor program Basic life support/Manual handling & medication assessor Why Join our Team?
