Are you a dedicated Trade Assistant looking for exciting new opportunities? CBS Builders is searching for a proactive and autonomous individual to support our tradespeople and site team on dynamic projects. As a Trade Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and organising sites, undertaking skilled works as directed by senior staff, and operating power tools. Join our collaborative team and be a key contributor to our upcoming projects. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a Site Supervisor and Manager role, making a significant impact as you advance in your career with us. What you'll be doing Assisting tradespeople and builders with general and detailed tasks Experience in operating machinery and using power tools Other jobs tasks include minor carpentry, patch plastering, painting and minor concreting works Cleaning, preparing and maintaining work sites Undertaking quality control measures (ITPs) Adhering to all work, health and safety regulations on site We do not expect applicants to have hands on experience on all the above, but the right attitude and understanding is expected. Skills and Qualifications Previous construction experience. Minimum 2 years. Construction White Card essential. Experience in a similar role working alongside a range of trades preferably. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Self‑motivation and willingness to work hard. Ability to use tools and carry out physical tasks as required. Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks. Ability to work in a fast‑paced and live environment. Punctuality and reliability. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with co‑workers and superiors. Why CBS Builders?
