One of Melbourne’s most iconic CBD arcades has been reimagined with the redevelopment of "Melbourne Walk," now home to IHG’s first Australian dual-branded hotel project. At Hotel Indigo, guests can expect local character, modern design and warm, professional service with a vibrant and individual flavour, bringing the edgy laneway neighbourhood of Little Collins Street to life. Making the most of the retail haven, Holiday Inn will offer a modern, fresh and friendly stay for a wide variety of guests. Both venues are supported by a single, centrally located kitchen that will serve up unforgettable dishes – anytime, anywhere our guests choose to dine. So, we’re searching for a Kitchen Steward to join our team A little taste of your day-to-day Own the kitchen/stewarding area – keep on top of supplies and equipment, and reduce waste. Clean and maintain kitchen, fridges and freezers to a high hygienic standard. Ensure there are clean plates, cutlery and other equipment readily available for guests and colleagues. Collaborate with other departments and take on ad-hoc duties as required. Report any unsafe equipment, low supplies or safety incidents to your supervisor or duty manager. Help create a safe space by following safety procedures and wearing necessary protective equipment. What We Need From You Experience in large-scale operations such as hotels, resorts, or high-volume restaurants is particularly valued. Food Safety Certification (preferred). Capacity to lift, push and pull objects up to 20kg, involving bending and kneeling. Flexibility – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job. Must have a right to work in Australia.
