Small Business Lending & Coaching Manager We help people facing barriers to employment or disadvantage start and grow small businesses. Our Managers combine financial acumen with hands‑on coaching to create sustainable change—one client, one business at a time. About the Role As a Small Business Lending & Coaching Manager, you’ll use your financial skills and relationship experience to help clients start, stabilise, and grow viable small enterprises. Your responsibilities include: Assess and support business viability – guide clients through business planning, cashflow management, and financial literacy. Coach clients through the start‑up journey – helping them make sound commercial decisions and build long‑term capability. Provide responsible lending support – assist clients with microfinance applications and loan management, applying sound credit principles. Build trusted relationships – engage with local business networks, Indigenous leaders, and community organisations to identify and support potential clients. Monitor and report on portfolio performance – using our CRM and established frameworks to manage business journeys and outcomes. Travel intraregionally as required. Who We're Looking For You bring a strong background in business, finance, or accounting ‑ and a heart for helping people succeed. You may have experience as: Business banker or commercial lender Small business accountant or advisor Branch or relationship manager in financial services Financial coach or enterprise development advisor And you demonstrate: Sound understanding of small business finance, cashflow, and risk Excellent relationship and communication skills Commercial judgement and a practical, problem‑solving mindset Ability to work independently and travel across the region Empathy, patience, and respect for people from diverse backgrounds — including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Why Join Many Rivers Make a measurable difference – use your financial expertise to create jobs and independence for people who need it most.
