Job Summary Ongoing role Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: Benalla As a member of a regional compliance team, deliver game compliance services across the compliance spectrum to the regional community as part of the broader state-wide compliance program. Maintain good working relationships with community stakeholders and partner agencies. Provide advice and educational services, making presentations at stakeholder meetings/gatherings, and attending relevant shows and exhibitions The Team The position of Senior Game Officer forms a part of the Compliance and Intelligence branch within the Game Management Authority. The Game Management Authority (GMA) delivers programs to improve and promote sustainable and responsible game hunting in Victoria. The Compliance and Intelligence Division is responsible for improving compliance with hunting laws and regulations. Highly developed interpersonal skills and sound judgement. The ability to assess the situation and make appropriate and informed decisions, particularly in potentially volatile situations. Highly developed ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders or groups, and the ability to demonstrate empathetic engagement with all stakeholders. Ability to clearly and confidently communicate with all people at all levels in the organisation and the community. This role also requires an ability to handle difficult situations and sensitive information.
