ASSOA provides high-quality distance education to around 100 primary-aged students living across the Alice Springs and Barkly regions of the Northern Territory, as well as parts of South Australia and Queensland. Our vision — “Inspiring isolated students to recognise and pursue their potential” — drives everything we do. Through innovative online learning, strong relationships, and dedicated support, our teachers help students thrive, no matter where they live. As a Year 5 Teacher, you’ll: Deliver engaging lessons through distance education technologies. Build meaningful connections with students, families, and home tutors. Travel to visit each student annually, with remote travel and overnight stays providing invaluable face‑to‑face learning experiences. Benefits of joining Alice Springs School of the Air: A competitive base salary of between $92,215 to $131,349 + 12 % superannuation + 17.5% leave loading + Alice Spring Urban Schools retention allowance of $4,500 per annum. 6 weeks recreation leave, and 6 weeks stand down leave per annum, 3 weeks personal leave per annum, 5 days per annum for Cultural and Ceremonial leave obligations Relocation assistance - we’ll support your moving costs and provide you with up to 10 fortnightly relocation allowance payments paid on top of your salary ($661*/fortnight single or $914*/fortnight with dependants) A supportive leadership team, dynamic colleagues and engaged community.
