Operations Support – Melbourne (Derrimut) Depot Night Shift (9pm Start) | Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays Collins Adelaide is a family‑owned and operated business whose origin dates back to 1965. We’re seeking an organised Operations Support Officer to keep our local and linehaul freight moving by coordinating loads, supporting driver allocation, managing paperwork, and ensuring all operational details are accurate, on time, and compliant. You’ll play a key role in keeping the fleet running smoothly and supporting day‑to‑day efficiency across the business. What you'll be doing: Assisting with planning and allocating local and interstate loads, ensuring freight is staged, recorded, and dispatched accurately. Recording all trip details, load information, and documentation in the Ops Diary and associated systems. Allocating and scheduling drivers based on availability, fatigue rules, licence class, and operational needs. Monitoring trip progress through MT Data and communicating delays or changes to the right people. Coordinating with customers, suppliers, and maintenance to confirm bookings, time slots, and vehicle availability. Supporting reporting, investigations, and general admin tasks while looking for ways to tidy up processes or improve efficiency.
