We're a passionate and diverse group of First Nations people and non-Indigenous people who want to see lived experiences of First Nations people improved. We recognise there's a wound in the spirit of our nation, and for healing to take place, we need to work together. Our staff, consultants and collaborators are located across Australia, and we respectfully learn from, and partner with, First Nations cultural and community Elders and leaders, academics and educators. THE ROLE As Director of Corporate Services , your role ensures the effective enablement of strategy across the organisation, overseeing contractors and a passionate team, which contributes towards corporate service delivery. Your responsibilities will include the leadership of finance, fundraising & philanthropy, legal, compliance, systems, policies, procedures, IT and administration. This is a diverse and exciting role with both responsibility and reward – not to mention the opportunity to help grow respectful connections and relationships between First Nations people and non-Indigenous Australians. ABOUT YOU You have proven experience in financial leadership and management and can easily oversee annual budget planning, Xero accounts management and financial reporting. Your commitment to organisational excellence drives timely and effective legal and compliance outcomes. You'll apply your previous experience to ensuring Board meetings, the AGM and other strategic activities achieve exceptional outcomes through preparation and execution (including Board Secretarial duties). While your work preference is in the detail, you can see the big picture and will contribute to the Lead Team in providing organisational leadership. You have a track record in developing people and embedding continuous improvement in all you do. You're able to offer key guidance in identifying IT improvements and oversee the management of ongoing IT issues and resolutions with IT agencies. You're energised by variety and can engage in multiple areas of need within any given day. You're organised and you know how to prioritise and guide your teams accordingly. Your strong communication, people skills and emotional intelligence enable you to quickly fit into a team as both leader and team member. Your strong planning, problem-solving and organisational skills will help you make decisions, and be proactive. You understand the importance of confidentiality, with a demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information.
