The Configuration Manager is responsible for the overall Configuration Management (CM) infrastructure and environment from conception through to disposal. The function supports artefact development activity to a consistent standard within an appropriate environment, to ensure consistency of product development and management through the product life cycle. What’s Involved Accountable for the life‑cycle management of data involving the configuration of product development from requirements decomposition, through design, production, V&V, in‑service transition and support to subsequent disposal. Provides configuration management oversight and support to assigned projects in the Corporate CM Plan Responsible for configuration management (CM) of developmental and operational systems Implement CM discipline for the entire life‑cycle of systems from initial requirements/capabilities baselines to system end‑of‑life, tempered to Client requirements. Oversees and regulates process to ensures that all changes to the baselines go through appropriate change boards. Uses or recommends automated CM tools to implement CM policies and procedures. You’ll Need Significant experience and familiarity with CM standards such as ISO, ITIL and CMMI Significant experience defining and implementing hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures Experience establishing and maintaining Program CM systems, document and software libraries Knowledge and experience with PML, CMT, CMMS systems and EAM Knowledge and understanding of defence and commercial maritime regulatory framework. Experience communicating CM status to CM Management and Program Management Experience documenting and performing hardware and software version control processes, policies and procedures. Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance 5 Years’ experience in Senior configuration management role, preferably with Defence experience; Familiarisation with Australian Naval Publications and their relation to Configuration Management. Knowledge of EIA-649C content and experience implementing CM practices Knowledge and understanding of Software Configuration Management Experience developing and improving Program CM processes Experience providing CM process training to program team Why Join Us?
