We offer lots of headroom for you to grow and flexible benefits to suit you in every stage of your life and career, including: Typical earnings for Correctional Officer Level 3 start at $78,416 p.a. + super (including penalty rates), with opportunities to earn above $95K p.a. + super with overtime From March 2026, typical earnings increase to $83,121 p.a. + super, with opportunities to earn above $100K p.a. + super with overtime 5 weeks annual leave Enjoy a 7-day fortnight roster with excellent work–life balance Uniforms and lunch provided 24/7 access to medical & mental health support via Sonder Flexible salary packaging options Ongoing career progression and development opportunities A supportive, team-first environment with trusted leadership Opportunity to complete a bridging course Make an Impact at Serco Bring your correctional experience to Clarence Correctional Centre as a Correctional Case Officer, supporting inmate management, safety, and rehabilitation within a secure and respectful environment, you will: Supervise and manage inmates while promoting rehabilitation and reintegration Conduct searches, monitor inmate activities, and maintain a structured, secure environment Use communication and problem-solving skills to defuse tense situations and maintain order Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure inmate welfare What You’ll Need Certificate III/IV in Correctional Practice Minimum 2 years’ experience to meet requirements for CCO Level 3 Proven ability to manage and supervise inmates safely and professionally Strong communication, empathy, and resilience Ability to stay calm under pressure and exercise sound judgement Physical fitness to meet role demands A valid Driver’s Licence Australian Work Rights As this is a position of trust, shortlisted candidates will undergo a Police Check and full probity assessment.
