Passion for food and team work is essential… We all know that food tastes better when it’s made with love and passion Pastry sheeting machine experience highly regarded From our head office Ferntree Gully depot, our in‑house bakery supplies our 70 lunch vans with fresh and delicious pies, sausage rolls, cakes and slices on a daily basis. As an experienced bakery professional or passionate baker, join our Bakery team on a casual basis. If you have the drive and passion, we have the opportunity for you. Establish a great work‑life balance with these rare bakery hours Please note – Due to the variety and volumes of our products, candidates should be aware that working with certain food products, e.g. meats, dairy or gluten‑based items is a requirement of this role. Shift length 6-8 hours , working 3-5 shifts per week Monday to Friday shifts from 4:00am – 1pm Adult casual rate (21yo +) $33.16 per hour , reduced rate for younger applicants but all welcome to apply Role tasks and opportunities Preparation and weighing of ingredients Weighing, mixing, making and sheeting pastry Oven work and baking Sauce preparation for pies Pie and cake assembly Cooking a variety of meats for products Practicing cleanliness and hygiene at all times, HACCP guidelines Experienced professionals looking for change or the opportunity to love coming to work, here it is Those looking to build a career in the food industry, experience different work stations, tasks and equipment to boost your resume Interested? Full training is provided Knowledge of baking, cooking and food is good, having PASSION for it is essential You have a CAN DO, hardworking attitude You take pride in your reliability, punctuality and strong work ethic You thrive in a fast paced environment, work unsupervised and love being a valued, contributing member of a supportive team Work in a high temperature environment with commercial stoves and ovens The physical nature of the role requires bending, lifting 10‑20kg, twisting, stretching and reaching forward on a frequent basis, with repetitive tasks also requiring the ability to stand in the one place for extended periods of time What's in it for you?
