Peluso Group / Master Menders is seeking a detail-driven Assessor/Estimator to join our growing team as we expand operations into Tasmania. Based in Melbourne, our company is continuing to build on its strong reputation for quality and professionalism across insurance, residential, and commercial projects. About the Role As an Assessor/Estimator, you will: Conduct thorough site assessments, collecting accurate data, measurements, and documentation. Ensure compliance and quality assurance across all projects, maintaining safety and regulatory standards. Prepare detailed scopes of work and cost estimates for insurance, residential, and commercial projects. Collaborate with Pre‑Construction, Admin, and Site Supervisors to ensure seamless project delivery. Provide clear, professional reports and quotes to clients and insurers. Oversee and project supervise smaller‑valued jobs from assessment through to completion, ensuring quality and client satisfaction. Play an integral role in growing our Tasmanian division, with the potential to progress into leadership positions. What We’re Looking For Building assessing experience is essential, or at minimum proven on‑site construction experience. Minimum 1‑2 years of building assessing or on‑site construction experience is required. Previous experience in building, construction estimating, or insurance assessment. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation skills. Ability to read plans, measure on‑site, and develop cost‑effective scopes. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver’s licence (travel between sites required). Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required. Established trade base or strong working knowledge of various trades, with the ability to engage and coordinate subcontractors effectively. Why Join Us? Competitive salary package $75,000 – $85,000.
