Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled BI Consultant for a 12-month contract in Darwin. The role requires expertise in business analysis, data warehouse development, SSAS tabular model development, and reporting. The successful candidate will deliver enterprise-scale Business Intelligence solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct business analysis and gather requirements.Develop business scope and functional requirements documentation.Guide and support project team members.Design and develop data warehouses, including data modelling and ETL job design.Manage complex projects to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.Develop and maintain BI semantic layers using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.Create and deliver enterprise-scale reports using Microsoft Power BI.Collaborate with stakeholders to meet organizational reporting needs.

Business Analysis

Skills and Experience Required:

Extensive experience in business analysis and systems design.Expertise in creating business scope and functional requirements documentation.Ability to work effectively in a team and mentor others.

Data Warehouse Development

Proficient in designing and developing data warehouses, including data modelling and ETL processes.Strong systems analysis and design skills.Experience managing multiple complex projects within a Data Warehouse context.Proficient in ETL processes with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services.Deep understanding of data warehouse concepts and implementation processes.

SSAS Tabular Model Development

Experienced in designing and maintaining BI semantic layers using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.Proficient with Enterprise BI platforms like SAP BI and Microsoft Power BI.Strong analytical skills for solving complex problems.Ability to manage workloads and meet critical deadlines.

Presentation Layer (Reporting)

Proficient in using Microsoft Power BI for enterprise-scale reporting.Experience delivering data and reporting objectives in a service-oriented environment.Strong interpretative and analytical skills to translate requirements into technical specifications.Ability to manage projects and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.Experience working with stakeholders to deliver reporting requirements.
