The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and motivated individual to join the Technology and Digital Platforms Division as Senior Microsoft 365 and Solutions Developer at the Department of Government Services.
The division is responsible for the design, build and run of the solutions & technology required to deliver on the department's objective to accelerate digital transformation. This includes accountability for managing enabling infrastructure and networks, as well as for designing and deploying business and customer platforms that are modular, scalable and reusable.
As the Senior Microsoft 365 and Solutions Developer you will be responsible for development and delivery of SharePoint solutions and other applications within the Microsoft 365 environment. You will review, interpret and respond to detailed business requirements specifications (BRS) to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability. As part of the role, you will also develop, Unit test and implement technology solutions and report on delivery commitments to ensure solutions are implemented as expected and to agreed timeframes.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have:
- Experience of complex digital and IT projects including modern agile methods, and governance and the modern tools available to support digital delivery, within government or a similarly complex corporate enterprise
- Demonstrated experience in Azure power portal and Kubernetes to automation platform design that integrates security as a shared responsibility thru SDLC lifecycle
- Experience with developing business solutions in ASP.Net, C#, Node JS, React JS, JavaScript and HTML, CSS on SharePoint Framework (SPFx), along with experience using SQL, JQuery, JSOM/CSOM, REST and CAML and demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining Workflows on any M365 platform
- Experience in Application support, monitoring, administration, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipeline using ITIL methodology and governance
- Sound conceptual and analytical skills
