About The Role We are currently seeking an Azure DevOps and Terraform experienced DevOps engineer used to working on Hybrid Cloud, VMware, AWS, and particularly Azure, though the successful applicant may not have experience in every one of these areas. The DevOps Engineer role is responsible for guiding and implementing automation initiatives, dealing with software development, operations, and services. This role involves performing hands-on automation tasks, in areas including software development, operations, and services. Improving communication, collaboration and integration between software developers and IT operations personnel. Our offices are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best As above, you must have current and active NV1/2 or Baseline security clearances What You'll Do The Dev Ops Engineer is responsible for (but not limited to): Influencing architectural decisions, implementing, and managing core infrastructure, developing internal tools, and looking to automate as many processes as possible Performing hands-on automation tasks to treat infrastructure as code Performing routine analysis of the production environment and ensure that operations for each project run smoothly Providing execution of activities related to infrastructure, security, continuous integration, continuous deployment, IT operations and metrics Collaborating with other System Administrators, Developers, Testers, Architects and Business Analysts Using business-oriented operations to achieve successful development and identify alternative solutions for reducing the gap between the productions and deployment period We are a pretty agile company and are keen to respond to customer, technology and internal stakeholders' changing requirements and this can mean we evolve in our roles to meet those needs. What You'll Bring 3+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer/Automation Specialist Used to working on most/all of Hybrid Cloud, VMware, AWS, and most importantly, Azure Working knowledge of Ansible, Linux and Windows is highly desirable Strong knowledge of various software and performance monitoring techniques Working knowledge of common systems monitoring and alerting tools and also of common build, release, and deployment tools Experience of modern DevOps Tools and utilities and build, release, and development tools Experience of automation and programming and scripting languages Knowledge of competing product offerings Strong and varied practical hands-on experience in Azure automation and familiar with Git, repos, and DevOps processes Strong financial management practices with a clear understanding of the relationship between costs, utilisation, and project revenue Certified with AZ-204 (Developing Solutions for MS Azure) or AZ-400 (Designing and Implementing MS DevOps Solutions) Added advantage for AZ-500 (MS Azure Security Technologies) The successful candidate will go through assessment test for using Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform and CDKTF, etc.) and automation (PowerShell coding skills, Azure DevOps, ability to code Azure functions) Why Join Us Here at Datacom?
