WORK180 Endorsed Employer for All Women The role TasPorts is seeking motivated and customer‑focused individuals to join our State‑wide Security Operations Centre in Launceston as Casual Security Operations Officers. This role is part of a 24/7 operation and offers a varied and dynamic opportunity within a critical area of the business. As a Security Operations Officer you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, managing access control, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements under the TasPorts Maritime Security Plan as well as State and Federal legislation. The role is based at the Launceston office. Successful candidates will be required to undertake a 2‑week training period and work full‑time hours Monday‑Friday. Key Responsibilities Monitor security systems and respond to operational demands across multiple locations. Manage access control and ensure compliance with maritime security protocols. Maintain situational awareness and respond effectively to incidents. Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of security‑related activities. About You You bring strong customer service experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain focused in a fast‑paced environment. You are confident using computer systems and have well‑developed written and verbal communication skills. What You Will Have Background in compliance, customer service centres, security, or emergency operations. Experience in maritime or aviation industries (highly regarded). Tasmanian Security Employee Licence (Cert II) – required. Willingness to obtain required qualifications (support provided). Availability to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, as well as ad‑hoc 4‑hour shifts including weekends and public holidays – both day and night. Where to next?
