Being a good organiser is key to this newly developed role within our organisation. You will need to demonstrate that you are great at communication, love planning and have a passion for supporting other volunteers and helpers. If you are retired and want to use the skills you gained in the workplace to develop activities for young people and their families, we would love to hear from you. You will be responsible for the communication and planning between a host club, a team of girls and their families, any volunteers linked to the team, the school and Team Connect WA. You will be our direct reach into the community and representing Team Connect WA at events, games and potentially meetings. Most of this role can be done from home, however there is an expectation that you can attend one or two events on a Saturday morning, so having your own transport is essential as we may ask you to take some equipment to a game. The girls and families linked to a team may come from a CaLD background, or be experiencing barriers to reaching their full potential so having experience in working in either an education, social work, youth work, migrant or communities field will support your application. This role is seasonal and averages about 6 hours per week September - April with a break of 6 weeks in December/January. Category: Young People Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months Time Required: Games occur on Saturday mornings between 8-10.30, October - April. The planning and organising is flexible, but requires input in the week prior (usually by telephone or email). Attendance at games is not required every week. Approx, 5 hours per week.
