Purpose of the position We are seeking an experienced glass installer with a proven history of installing high‑end shower screens, pool fences, mirrors, balustrades etc. We expect you to have the knowledge to make an immediate impact installing our products. If you need to understand more about what we do please visit Responsibilities and duties Working alone, in a team or leading a team Install high-end glazing products from start to finish Be efficient and have good time management skills Be forward-thinking Be able to read plans and paperwork Loading of glass, hardware, tools and goods required. Lifting and unloading goods on-site as well in the warehouse. Be alert and attentive to the direction given by superiors. Making sure everything is done is to the highest standard in keeping with the MGC brand. Strive for customer satisfaction every time. Academic and trade qualifications Construction Induction Card (white card/red card) No academic level is required. However basic mathematics is required to perform the role. No specific trade certificates are required. Work experience and skills At least 3 years experience in installations Australian work rights are required for this position A standard car driving licence is required for this position Extensive tool knowledge Excellent role for a carpenter or joiner looking to change trades or expand your construction skills Personal qualities and behavioural traits Proud Punctual Neat and clean Friendly Motivated Dedicated Trustworthy Relationships This position will be supported by one of Melbourne's finest glazing teams. Direct dealings with homeowners, builders, site supervisors, project managers, suppliers and Melbourne Glass Company staff will be a common occurrence.
