The Corangamite Catchment Management Authority (CMA) is a Victorian Government statutory authority whose role is to work with and support natural resource management agencies, Traditional Owners and local communities to improve sustainable land use, biodiversity and water resources management extending from Ballarat south through the Western District Lakes and Victorian Volcanic Plains including Colac and Geelong, through the Otway Ranges to the coast along the Great Ocean Road. About the opportunity The Project Officer - Reimagining the Anglesea River is a newly established role at Corangamite CMA, responsible for managing and implementing the 'Reimagining the Anglesea River' project. In this role you will support community and stakeholder engagement and lead project planning to determine immediate and future management options for the Anglesea River and estuary. Through this consultative process, priority options will be identified and agreed, to inform development of a business case for implementation to support the priority values of the Anglesea River estuary. The position will also collaborate with regional agency partners and community on long-term planning for future management of the Anglesea River and estuary in the face of climate change and sea level rise. Based in the Estuaries and Environmental Water Team, you will also support wider estuary and environmental water projects, programs and services, and support existing partnerships between agencies and groups as required. The role is offered from 0.6 FTE to full time, and we offer flexible work arrangements and support working from home in combination with working from our main office in Colac and secondary office in Geelong. Remuneration for the role is $84,782 - 96,710 per annum depending on experience plus superannuation. About you Experience working with communities in natural resource management, environmental management, agriculture, community engagement and a relevant diploma or degree qualification or significant relevant experience. Strong skills and experience in project management. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to effectively facilitate complex and diverse engagement processes. High level interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Good written and oral communication skills including the ability to prepare professional business correspondence and reports with attention to detail. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive, inclusive organisation culture. Demonstrated ability to model the CCMA's Approach and the Victorian Public Sector values and behaviours.
