Overview Join the Macquarie Indirect Tax team responsible for supporting our businesses in Australia and New Zealand. The team manages indirect tax obligations while leading a period of transformation across all areas of indirect tax, leveraging AI and other technology platforms. Responsibilities Prepare and review indirect tax returns, assist in the reconciliation of tax accounts and balances, and provide indirect tax reporting, accounting and operational support to Macquarie’s operating businesses and central functions. Ensure compliance with indirect tax obligations, prepare and maintain documentation, and assist with managing revenue authority audits. Analyse financial data and current processes to identify risks, inefficient or ineffective processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and transformation. Input into designing and implementing those process improvements. Qualifications Tertiary degree or equivalent (preferably in Commerce or Accounting), CA or equivalent (completed or near completion). 3–5 years of financial or tax reporting experience, ideally within a large corporate or professional services environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data. Experience in analysing large datasets and leveraging data as an asset to support reporting and/or compliance activities.
