Join us as the Head of CBE Australia to play a key leadership role that will drive business growth. Make your mark in Client and Broker Engagement Our Client and Broker Engagement (CBE) team manages AIG’s major client relationships across all product lines and drives new business activity. The team serves major clients and broker partners through an elevated, personalised experience, using a client‑centric framework that delivers a consistent experience and best practice while allowing flexibility to meet the client’s needs. How you will create an impact Reporting to the Country GM and with a matrix report to the Head of Client & Broker Engagement APAC, you will manage the broker channel and client engagement. You will ensure that AIG executes a clearly defined go‑to‑market distribution strategy to deliver sustained growth by segment and that we articulate a compelling value proposition to clients, colleagues and brokers, driving revenue growth and leveraging data and analytics. Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Develop and execute AIG’s broker distribution strategy, partnering with defined brokers to create profitable retention and growth strategies, including: Product, industry or segment initiatives aligned with Profit Centre Risk Appetite Broker segment‑driven initiatives with Global International and key National Brokers Account targeting and pipeline management initiatives Broker service and engagement plans, including regular business‑review meetings Joint marketing initiatives such as conventions and seminars Responsible for client stewardship, developing and executing strategies that improve client retention and penetration, including: Relationship management with key clients Client seminars, conferences and other strategies to maximise client interaction Promotion of AIG’s multinational value proposition to clients and brokers Development and promotion of AIG’s brand with brokers and clients, highlighting unique selling points and demonstrating expertise, particularly in Commercial Lines Ensuring Profit Centres follow regionally mandated best practices in the sales process, including the use of analytics such as Salesforce and D&B Operational responsibilities extend to creating and managing inclusive relationships with colleagues in other departments—including Claims, CSG FP&A, O&S Legal and other service centres—and providing assistance to enable them to perform their functions. Personnel responsibilities include but are not limited to: Ensuring personnel are aware of their responsibilities and adequately trained to execute them Supervising personnel to ensure they fulfil their responsibilities Implementing governance procedures to prevent personnel from failing in their duties Sourcing and developing talent within the function to ensure adequate succession plans Coordinating technical and professional development in conjunction with HR and other providers Setting KPIs and conducting performance reviews Driving connection between Products, Claims and Engineering to deepen broker and client relationships, leveraging existing relationships for enhanced outcomes. What you’ll need to succeed Strong insurance industry experience, including frontline underwriting or broking Deep industry and market expertise, analysing trends and making decisions that lead to sustained profitable growth Ability to set and execute clear, robust business strategies aligned with AIG’s global goals Building strategic relationships and alliances with key external stakeholders to influence decisions and advance organisational objectives Representing the AIG brand internally and externally with conviction, energy and commitment, building trust and confidence in AIG’s future Being a values‑led leader with an unquestioned reputation for integrity and ethics; a character that inspires trust internally and externally Solid understanding of insurance management information reports and accounts Additional experience in sales, business development or marketing preferred Strong financial acumen; able to anticipate, identify and explain the financial implications of decisions Ready to lead by example – We would love to hear from you.
