Eighty-seven percent of graduates completing the program stay on to be employed by the Queensland Government post-program. Our graduates' salaries can increase up to $27,000 (based at AO5 level) or more after completing the 2-year program. 1. As an indicator, the minimum AO3 rate under the State Government Entities Certified Agreements 2023 as at 1 July 2025 is $76,217. 2. You will have the opportunity to assist to deliver better internal services within government and make improvements to the mobile service the Queensland community receives. Responsibilities Responsibilities in a mobile platform application developer role may include: contributing to mobile application design and development for iOS and Android platforms gaining hands‑on experience using associated development environments and tools assisting in interfacing mobile applications with backend web services and APIs assisting with the research and trend analysis and testing of new mobile platforms. Ideal candidates Ideal candidates for a mobile platform application developer role will have: experience designing and developing mobile applications an understanding of the software development lifecycle experience in one or more popular programming languages analytical skills, be solutions focused and have good writing skills. Technical skills Knowledge of: developing native, cross‑platform or hybrid mobile applications user interface design, wireframing and screen mock‑ups using source code control systems, testing and publishing mobile applications native mobile device functionality and sensors (e.g. mobile push notifications, geolocation).
